MY SKINCARE JOURNEY
Few years ago, I was tired of everything skincare. I wasn’t sure the right products to use anymore. I had used a product that burnt my skin a year earlier, leaving me with dark patches on my eye area, dark knuckles, knee, stretch marks, feet and elbows.
All I really wanted was glowing skin. I used to visit pharmacy or cosmetics supermarkets (I didn’t really understand skincare then though) recommendation. I just told the Pharmacist that I needed body lotion that will bring out my natural complexion. And of course(like most of them do) he gave me a body lotion that had whitening ingredients, it literally had “white” written on it. I expressed my concern that I didn’t want to bleach my skin, he said I should ignore the name that it’s a good product, that I’ll thank him later.
A week later, I became fair! People that knew me started asking questions and I felt embarrassed but didn’t stop using the products as it wasn’t exactly cheap. It was when my skin got burnt after a month that I stopped immediately. It took a while before my skin went back to the way it was.
I used to use a good brand that wasn’t badly on my skin until I got the fake! I wasn’t sure what to do again as it was difficult to know what’s right at that point. Plus I was only using the body lotion which I applied on my face too. The skin on my body was good but my face was never clear. I experienced hyperpigmentation(as you can see on the picture on the left. My skin was even getting better at the time I took that picture). It really got exhausting for me.
Until I discovered my Swedish Brand and finally started my skincare journey in 2021. Now my skin from face to body is happy and clear. I’m not afraid of getting the fake as my Company use Direct sales so I get to order Direct from Company as a Brand Partner(those that aren’t registered Brand Partners can shop from Brand Partners too).
One of the best investments I’ve ever made is in my skin.
I realized your skin is one thing you get to wear all your life. Your skin has a memory. In 10, 20, 30 years from now, your skin will show the results of how it was treated today. So treat it kindly and with respect.
This is why I’m very intentional about what I use on my skin. I’ve fallen victim to skincare products that led to side effects I was ashamed of. But thankfully, I discovered this top Swedish Brand that has totally changed my skincare game.
I not only look good from the outside, I feel good on the inside using these amazing products. And recommending it to others is something I’m very passionate about.
